Jump Rope for Heart: We had an active afternoon on Wednesday! Students were assigned to one of seven multi-grade teams of K to 7 students and the groups worked their way through seven jump rope stations that lasted from 1:00-2:30. No doubt, each student jumped hundreds of times and I saw lots of smiling faces. (A few had very serious faces as they attempted to conquer personal bests at each station.) Pledges can continue to be made using the paper form or by going online until Monday, May 9. A BIG THANK YOU to Ms. Bjarnason who took Division 2 to Camp Byng for three days and two nights this week! I popped in each day to see thoroughly engaged students learning in an outdoor setting. Thanks as well to the many parents who volunteered their time to help out during daily shifts. This will be a life-long memory for the class. COMMUNITY NEWS: Summer is a time for kids to play, run, get outside and have fun with friends.
