3-R’s Monthly NEWS November 2016 Important Reminders: November 2nd WEAR RED for Caring Dear Parents and Guardians… Happy November! Here are a few updates and some upcoming news… THANK YOU to all the parent volunteers that helped make our Halloween party a success and for all the Boosterthon Pledges!! 6th Dismissal at 1:45 Moby Max should be done at least 2 times a week! Usernames and passwords were already sent home. 11th Veterans Day (Wear Red, White, and Blue) Assembly at 9:15 WRITING: Much of first quarter is “review.” During second quarter, the material really starts to become more challenging. Second quarter involves A LOT of essay writing. The students will be required to write 5 paragraph essays with great elaboration and detail. 23rd-25th NO SCHOOL (Thanksgiving Break) There are a few items that are still needed in the classroom. If you are able to donate any of these items, we would greatly appreciate it!!!! Small treasure box items **Test Dates will be in your child’s planner! ** Sign your child’s planner every night…check for any notes from me! Our Class is registered on Adopt-a-Classroom!! Introduce the narrator and characters. Include a clear sequence of events. Use temporal words and phrases to signal the order of events. Use dialogue and character actions to impact the events.
