Job Title: Marketing and Business Development Assistant Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Hourly: $14-18/hr Location: National Ability Center Ranch, Park City, Utah Supervisor: Marketing and Business Development Director Job Summary: The Marketing and Business Development Assistant is an intermediate-level position providing high-level/detail-oriented administrative and analytical support to the Development/Marketing/ Events/Sales functions of the National Ability Center. The successful candidate will be detail/technology-oriented, possess the skills to effectively use existing software/technology, as well as learn new software. This positon requires leadership skills to strategically prioritize and complete tasks in support of various departmental objectives while exhibiting a forward-thinking/solution minded approach. Candidates should also possess advanced writing and editing skills and demonstrate initiatives in problem-solving. Focus: Ranges from complex analysis of internal/external trends, design and implementation of strategic solutions/recommendations and grant and copy writing to basic tasks such as, generating donor recognition letters and gift data entry, event registration and meeting notes. A primary function of this, and every position at the National Ability Center, is to ensure that each member, guest and visitor receive the highest caliber of service. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: • • • • • • • Responsible for appointment scheduling, coordinating schedule reminders and communication/solicitation timelines. Ensure timely response to all required reports and follow up information from donors, board members, committee members, and executive staff. Responsible for creating/sending donor thank you letters in a way that facilitates the continual alignment of donors with our mission. Strategically research and assess capacity levels, giving history, and connections of existing donors and report findings to the development/executive teams. Data entry/tracking/reporting of donor activities, gift entry, acknowledgments, etc. Support grant submission through copy editing and drafting of smaller grant requests. Create database reports to assist in donor retention, forecasting, volunteer/staff cultivation, solicitation visits, fundraising results, and marketing/campaign collateral. • • Support drafting/editing of marketing collateral e.g. signage, flyers, newsletter, etc. Support maintenance of digital materials i.e. website corporate logos, etc. Event support includes creating proprietary documents, managing registration, supervising volunteers, gift tracking, donor recognition, auction support, and event day assignments. Support administrative functions e.g. draft minutes, material prep, operate equipment Lead dept. data clean-up/maintenance efforts, train team members to use database. • Adhere to the National Ability Center core values • Other duties as assigned by the Marketing and Business Development Director • • • Required Knowledge and Qualifications • • • • • • • • • • • • • BA/BS or equivalent experience Experience providing administrative support; Development/Communications experience preferred Experience with donor/event software e.g Experience with event planning and grant-writing/reporting Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, Presentation tools (Prezi, Youtube, etc) and social media marketing. Knowledge of Salesforce, Greater Giving, Eventbrite, InDesign, Constant Contact and/or Perfect mind a plus.
