Follow Hwy. 287/789 approximately 1 mile north of town. Turn right onto Gun Club Road and follow it approximately 1 mile to the entrance to the Outdoor Shooting Complex. Turn left to enter the complex and follow the road to the club house. Hearing and eye protection is required on the firing line and in the pits. See rules on-line: NRA High Power Rule Book & CMP Rule Book ELIGIBILITY: Open to all who support the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms. NRA membership is not required to participate, but is needed to establish NRA national records. NRA and Wyoming State Shooting Association (WSSA) membership applications will be available at registration. New shooters are welcome and encouraged to attend! CATEGORIES: Service (Includes Active, Reserve & Nat’l Guard), Civilian, Junior ENTRIES: Individual entries will be limited to 40 shooters –FOUR RELAYS MAXIMUM. At least six non distinguished shooters are required to hold the EIC match. Non-Distinguished shooters will be given priority for EIC Match. ADVANCE ENTRY IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Competitors are guaranteed an individual entry in the matches by pre-registering and sending payment with registration form to the address above; entries will be on a first come, first served basis up to range capacity. Competitors may cancel their pre-registration before August 12th and receive a refund, less a $5.00 service fee. Cancellations after August 12th may result in forfeit of entry fees. Post-entries made on August 19th will be accepted up to limit of range capacity. CLASSIFICATION: The NRA Classification system will be used. Rule 19.6 (Assigned Classification), or 19.2 (Temporary Classification) may be used. RIFLE DIVISIONS: U.S. SERVICE RIFLE. NRA rule 3.1 (M1, M14/M1A, M16/AR15, M110) governs NRA Service Rifle Matches. CMP rule 6.0 governs EIC Rifle Match. Match Rifles will be permitted, but not eligible to win the Service Rifle Championship or EIC match or receive Distinguished Rifleman points. SQUADDING: All matches will be squadded. Competitors will also score and be responsible for pit duty. Infiltration squadding will be utilized if deemed necessary by the match director. TARGETS: SR, SR-3, MR-1 EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR (ECI): ECI’s are required and will be available for $2. CHALLENGES: $2 fee, refunded if challenge is sustained. Present fee at time of challenge (rule 16.1) Challenge period ends 30 min. after results are posted. 2017 NRA WYOMING STATE SERVICE RIFLE MATCH 80-shot Regional Course of Fire Saturday, August 19th, 2017, 0830 Match 1 – Standing, slow-fire, 2 sighting shots and 20 shots for record, time 22 min, 200yds Match 2 – Sitting or kneeling, rapid-fire, 2 sighting shots and two 10 shot strings for record, time 60 sec per 10 shot string, 200 yds Match 3 – Prone, rapid-fire, 2 sighting shots and two 10 shot strings for record, time 70 sec per 10 shot string, 300 yds Match 4 – Prone, slow-fire, 2 sighting shots and 20 shots for record, time 22 min, 600 yds MATCH 5 – Aggregate of Matches 1-4. Performance in this match will be submitted to the NRA to determine steps earned towards their new Across the Course Distinguished Badge. 2017 WYOMING STATE CMP SERVICE RIFLE EIC MATCH CMP Eligibility Affidavit and Liability Agreement Required, NOTARY WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE MATCH. CMP SERVICE RIFLE EIC, 50 SHOT NATIONAL MATCH COURSE OF FIRE Sunday, August 20th, 2017, 0830 Stage 1 - Standing, slow-fire, 10 shots for record, time 10 min, 200 yds. (Competitors will remain on the line to fire Stage 2) Stage 2 - Sitting or kneeling from standing, rapid-fire, 10 shot string, time 60 sec, 200yds Stage 3 - Prone from standing, rapid-fire, 10 shot string, time 70 sec, 300yds Stage 4 - Prone, slow-fire, 20 shots for record, time 20 min, 600 yds MATCH 6 – Aggregate of Stages 1-4. MATCH 7 – WYOMING STATE SERVICE RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIP, aggregate of Matches 5 & 6 AWARDS: Monetary awards will be given to each match winner (except EIC match) and to the high individuals in each class/award group for each match in accordance with a schedule below. EIC points towards the Distinguished Rifleman Badge will be awarded (see CMP rule 10.2.6). All EIC medals and points toward the Distinguished Rifleman award will be issued by the CMP. Award groups must contain a minimum of 3 competitors or they will be combined with the next appropriate award group, per policy. Masters will not be combined with the High Master class. If fewer than 3 High Masters are entered they will compete for match winner awards only. Wyoming State Service Rifle Champion will be the overall aggregate winner (Match 7). The WSSA-sponsored Greg Strom Service Rifle Trophy will be awarded to the highest scoring Wyoming resident. GENERAL NOTES: • Competitors are required to furnish their own ammunition. The NRA tournament requires 88 rounds for sighters and record. The EIC tournament requires 50 rounds (no sighters). • Shooters firing at 600-yd. targets with .223 / 5.56 mm ammunition must use bullet weights of 68 grains or heavier. Shooters who are unable to hit their target by the 4th shot may be removed from the firing line. Shooters may only use ammunition that will maintain bullets at supersonic speeds. Shooters will be removed from the firing line for bullets that key hole at the target because of minimum velocity. Discretion and judgment of the Match Director as to what constitutes safe ammunition and equipment / rifles will prevail. • This match will be shot on Silver Mountain electronic targets • The protest period will be 30 minutes after the day’s results are posted. Match results will be compiled immediately after the match and available for review. • Only individuals who pre-register will be sent email updates in the event of match rescheduling or cancellation. • THE MATCH DIRECTOR MAY CHANGE THIS PROGRAM AS REQUIRED BECAUSE OF WEATHER, NUMBER OF COMPETITORS, TYPES OF ENTRIES, AND OTHER FACTORS.
