Position: Golf Course Manager
The Golf Course Manager is responsible for promoting the game of golf through operational
excellence and service that provides for a first class environment for daily players, members
and their guests.
The manager is responsible for all operations at the Club, including but not limited to: green
fees, driving range, golf tournaments, and the pro shop. The manager develops budgets and
forecasting in order to meet financial goals. The manager develops aggressive revenue sales,
marketing and net revenue plans and directs successful implementation. The manager is
responsible for hiring, training and developing all staff.
The manager also serves as the course Golf Pro, assisting customers with their golf needs and
teaching the correct way to play the game.
Qualifications:
Proven experience running and building a successful golf operation.
Excellent analytical and financial skills to develop and monitor budgets.
Familiarity with the practical and financial aspects of managing golf course facilities, including
daily reports on course play and sales, golf outings, tournaments and events.
Interpersonal skills to effectively manage and work with the public, salespeople,
groundskeepers and maintenance workers.
Availability to work early-morning hours, weekends and holidays and ability to stand on feet for
long periods.
Education:

Bachelor's degree
Required license or certification:

PGA Member
Indiana driver’s license
Indiana Alcohol Manager Certificate
Indiana Pesticide Certification within 6 months of hiring.
