Tutorial: My Rotary.

The intention of this tutorial is to show
you how to create an account on the
Rotary
International
website
www.rotary.org, access the website and
identify the different sections and
resources available online to Rotarians.
Please remember that you need to use the same
email reported to Rotary International as your
primary email address in your membership
application to create the account (if you don´t
remember it, please ask your Club Secretary).

The first step is to open a browser. For this tutorial we
are going to use Google Chrome, but any browser
should work fine.
After the browser opens, please type on the upper
bar the following: www.rotary.org
en
You now are at the home page of Rotary
International. The last part of the address (URL), in
this case “en”, indicates you are in the English version
of the website (“es” is for the Spanish version).

Now you need to click on “My Rotary”
The page will change and you will see the following:

If this it is your first time in Rotary.org, you need to
click on “REGISTER FOR AN ACCOUNT”. Otherwise,
you need to click on “SIGN IN TO MY ROTARY” and
skip to slide 8 of this tutorial.

NEW ACCOUNT:
If you selected
“REGISTER FOR AN
ACCOUNT”, you will see
an Account Registration
Form. You need to input
the information
requested. After you
have completed the
form click on
“CONTINUE”.

If the information is correct, you will see the following
message on the screen. Please check your email
account and complete the process. After you are done
you need to enter Rotary.org again and login in “SIGN
IN TO MY ROTARY”.

If you already have an account you need to click on
“SIGN IN TO MY ROTARY”.

A smaller screen will show up on top of the main
screen. You need to type your registered email and
password. Then click on “SIGN IN”.

Now your are in “MY ROTARY”.

You can access more information in each menu, such as
“Exchange Ideas”, “Take Action”, “Learning & Reference”,
“Manage”, “The Rotary Foundation”, “News & Media” and
“Member Center”.
Move the mouse on top of the name and you will open a new
menu with several options, such as the example below for
“Exchange Ideas”. Each option is a hyperlink that will take you
to that subject.

If you click on the tab, instead of moving on top, you will see
the same options in a more detailed format such as the
example below for “Learning & Reference”. In this menu you
find all the documents you need to learn about Rotary and
your position!!

In “Manage” you will find the information and tools to
administrate the Club. This menu is mainly oriented to Club
Officers. Depending in your status in the Club (Regular
Member, Committee Member, Officer) you can access more or
less options.

In “The Rotary Foundation - TRF” you will find the information
on the Foundation, the Club Reports and how to contribute to
TRF.

In “News & Media” you will find information on
the Office of the President of Rotary
International, News, Newsletters, Social Media,
Calendar of Events, Magazines, Rotary Images
& Videos.

In “Member Center” you will find, among other useful
information to members, the online tools, such as Rotary Club
Central, Brand Center, Rotary Showcase and Rotary Ideas.

In “Member Center” you will find: Rotary Club Central with
reports on the Club and its goals; Learning Center with a list of
courses and subject available online to members!!

Most of the pages have at the bottom a question asking for
your opinion. If you answer “NO”, you can tell RI how to
improve the page.

To review, modify or update your (Rotary) profile you need to
go to the top of the page and click over “Profile”.

To delegate temporary permission to conduct online Rotary
business on your behalf to another member you need to
activate that option here (generaly for officers). You need to go
to the top of the page and click over “Delegation”.

To change your Password, your Sign-In Email, your Email
Preferences, Language and Location, Security Question,
Subscriptions and Contact Information. You need to go to the top
of the page and click over “Account Settings”. Account Settings

To sign out (logoff) you need to go to the top of the page and
click over “Sign Out”.

Now you should have the basic information to start browsing
the Rotary International website. You will find a lot of
interesting documents and several fascinating projects and
initiatives taking up by Rotarians around the World.
Almost anything you need to be or become a better Rotarian is
available on this site.
