PRESS RELEASE
Paris, 18 November 2015
Korian appoints Sophie Boissard as Chief Executive Officer
with effect from 26 January 2016
At its meeting today, Korian’s Board of Directors decided unanimously to appoint Sophie Boissard
as the Group's Chief Executive Officer to lead the next phase in the Group's growth strategy.
Sophie Boissard will take up her position on 26 January 2016.
The Board of Directors removed Yann Coléou as Chief Executive Officer and thanked him for the
work accomplished during his term.
The Board of Directors asked its Chairman, Christian Chautard, to fulfil the role of Chief Executive
Officer of the Korian group on an interim basis, with immediate effect. When Sophie Boissard joins
the Group, governance will return to a Chairman and a separate Chief Executive Officer.
Sophie Boissard (45), who has French and German culture, has been a member of the SNCF
group's Executive Committee since 2008. Previously, she held various management positions in the
public sector, notably at the State Council, where she specialised in the areas of public health, in
particular the tariff structure for post-acute care, social and dependency care.
Sophie Boissard has demonstrated her knowledge in structuring new value-creating business
groups, building partnerships and setting up and managing large teams and networks on multiple
occasions. She will implement the growth strategy of Korian, European leader in Ageing Well. In
particular, her objective will be to strengthen management structures and accelerate the roll-out
of new offerings, while focusing the energy and skills of the teams on quality of service for residents
and their families.
Christian Chautard, Chairman of Korian's Board of Directors commented: "With the integration of
Medica and Curanum and the current acquisition of Casa Reha, Korian has brought off a major
step in the growth strategy defined by its Board of Directors. Strengthened by this new dimension,
and while maintaining its growth dynamic, the Group will differentiate itself and add to its offering
in a booming Ageing Well market. Sophie Boissard's appointment will enable us to enter a new
phase in the Korian group's growth."
Korian will hold a conference call on 19 November 2015, at 8:30 am, Paris time.
