"This year's Kids to Parks Day looks to be the biggest one ever as we work with
our many partners across the country to help families explore parks in their
communities and discover the wonderful benefits of nature. Last year more than
730,000 participated and our goal is to get 1 million kids and their families
celebrating this national day of outdoor play", stated Grace Lee, National Park
Trust's executive director
"With two months to go, we already have more than 100 cities and towns who
have signed Kids to Parks Day proclamations including San Diego (CA), Orlando
(FL), Tucson (AZ), Boulder (CO), and Montgomery (AL), said Grace Lee,
National Park Trust's executive director. "Kids to Parks Day is the perfect
opportunity for communities to highlight their local parks and encourage their
