Dear Peachtree Invitational Players:
Welcome to the 12th Annual Peachtree Invitational. We have an outstanding field of 132
players from 12 different states - our largest-ever Men’s and Women’s draws.
Highlights of this year’s Peachtree Invitational:
• Bitsy Grant Tennis Center, with three public access platform tennis courts and a brand
new warming hut, will be the host site of this year’s tournament.
• Live Scoring via the APTA website will be used to broadcast match results real-time to a
national audience. Go to www.platformtennisonline.org to access scoring.
• A high-stakes raffle with prizes including a 3-night stay at Blackberry Farm - the #1
Small Resort in America, will take place at the Saturday Night Player’s Party. All
proceeds go towards Atlanta public access paddle initiatives. If you did not purchase

• Saturday Night Player’s Party @ Hayes’ residence (5020 Jett Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30327).
Please consider using UBER as there will be limited street parking. Casual attire.

2017 Peachtree Invitational Committee
Important Tournament Notes:
➢ Check-in takes place at the site of your first round match. You will receive player
favors and lanyards for lunch entry. Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your
scheduled match times throughout the day.
➢ Buffet lunches at Bitsy Grant Tennis Center (Women) and Cherokee Town Club (Men)
are for players only; guests may pay $20 at the door.
➢ We have locker room privileges at Bitsy Grant and Cherokee Town Club (NO HATS or
CELL PHONE usage inside the club). Towels available at Cherokee, bring your own at
Bitsy Grant.
➢ We will play rain or shine, with matches played at 7 Atlanta area venues.
➢ Everyone is guaranteed 3 matches, win or lose - no defaults please.
➢ Matches are best of 3 sets with a tie-breaker at 6 all. 10 minute warm up max. In
the event of weather delays, tournament director reserves the right to switch to no
ad scoring and a tie-breaker in lieu of the 3rd set.
➢ Report scores immediately to site volunteers and confirm time/locations of your next
match. You can follow draws and tournament information on your mobile device
using the Live Scoring system.
➢ When changing venues, promptly notify the site volunteer that you have arrived.
➢ Spectators are most welcome; bring friends and family for great paddle and fun!
