Accenture Security Services Video Transcript Omar Abbosh: So you can’t open a newspaper today without looking and seeing something about cyber risk, and the honest truth is, I think it’s understated because a lot of what happens goes unreported. But just to give you a sense of it, five out of six of the world’s biggest companies was attacked in one way or another during 2014 and that trend is not going away. I know, for example, an electric grid company, a national electric grid company that gets 20,000 attempted intrusions every day. So the consequence of this is massive. Reputations clearly can be lost of senior leaders, brands of companies, trust with end consumers in the brands and in the services they receive if their own data is lost by a company for example. And, of course, the financial consequences are very big. The number of reported incidents about $20 million of cost doubled during the course of 2014. The nature of the threat is continually evolving and so the nature of the defense and the prevention, the response, must continue to evolve all the time. We come at it very strategically. Our focus is always on high performance. What does high performance look like in that company, and how do we help set them up in the right way for security? What is the nature of the threat facing this particular company, what matters most to them and where are the biggest vulnerabilities? Protecting a connected car is completely different from protecting a refinery, is completely different from protecting credit card companies or banks against fraud and financial fraud. The way Accenture thinks about this is before an event, How do we prevent the event and protect a company? So whether it’s the Oracles or the Fordruks or the Spunks or the Securinex or the Taniums or what have you, Accenture is working with these companies and we can bring the latest, and best and most relevant to what they have to our clients. And then finally, of course, our own investments, whether it’s innovative investment or acquisitions. So, for example, when we go out and buy an outstanding company, like Fusion X, where some of the smartest and deepest cyber capabilities out there, we’re keeping ourselves current and relevant.
