Introduction
Welcome to Cartmel College's Fantasy Football League. This is your opportunity to step into
football management as you try to guide your team to glory. Pitch your team against the rest of the
college and have the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes.
Registration is free, just follow the instructions below to pick and register your team. The aim of the
game is to score as many points as possible. Your team will score points for you based on their reallife performances in Premier League matches with points being awarded for goals, assists, clean
sheets and penalty saves. Beware of dirty players, you’ll lose points for red and yellow cards and
also for conceding goals. Use transfers to axe under performers, injured or suspended players and
make your star man your captain for double points.
How to Enter
Entry is simple. Send an email to [email protected] with your Name, Team Name,
Team Formation, Team Selection, and Chosen Captain, and within 48 hours you should receive a
confirmation email with your team selection. Then it's down to your players to rack up the points. If
you do not receive a confirmation email within 48 hours please try resending your team details.
Entry must be made by midnight on Friday 19th October 2012 to score points for the full period of
the competition.
You will receive an email at the end of each game week detailing the points awarded to your team,
and a league table to see how you are doing against the rest of the college.

Picking Your Team
The time has come to name your team for the 2012/13 Premier League season and picking your all
conquering line-up couldn't be simpler:
 Pick 11 players from the attached list, keeping within the £75m budget.
 Use your tactical expertise to select one of six formations:
4-3-3: Four defenders, three midfielders and three strikers.
4-4-2: Four defenders, four midfielders and two strikers.
4-5-1: Four defenders, five midfielders and one striker.
3-5-2: Three defenders, five midfielders and two strikers.
5-3-2: Five defenders, three midfielders and two strikers.
3-4-3: Three defenders, four midfielders and three strikers.
 You can select no more than 2 players from the same Premier League club.
 Once you've picked your team, name a captain and he will score double points.
Making Transfers
After selecting your squad you can buy and sell players in the transfer market. Unlimited transfers
can be made at no cost before your first deadline.
After your first deadline you will receive 1 free transfer each game week. Each additional transfer
you make in the same game week will deduct 4 points points from your total score at the start of the
next game week.
If you do not use your free transfer, you are able to make an additional free transfer to following
game week. If you do not use this saved free transfer in the following game week, it will be carried
over until you do. You can never have more than 1 saved transfer.
The deadline for team changes is midnight on Friday of the game week. Players values will be
updated and a new list sent out at the beginning of each month.
Scoring
Points are allocated for a players performance in the Premier League based on the following
actions.

If a player receives a red card, the will continue to be penalised for goals conceded by their team.
Red card deductions include any points deducted for yellow cards.
A clean sheet will be awarded if a player has played for longer than 60 minutes, players who have
played less will not be entitled to the clean sheet bonus.
Goals against will only be counted for the time that a player is on the pitch, unless they have been
sent off.
Assists are awarded to the played from the goal scoring team, who makes the last touch before the
goal is scored.
If after this touch, an opposing player touches the ball outside the penalty area altering the intended
destination of the ball, then no assist is given, except if this intervention directly results in an own
goal.
In the event of a penalty kick or free-kick, the player earning the penalty or free-kick gets an assist
if a goal is scored directly, but not if he takes it himself, in which case no assist is given.
Notes
Game weeks run from Tuesday until Monday.
An individual Manager may enter a maximum of 1 team, irrespective of whether they have more
than one valid email address.
In order to score points for the full duration of the Game, entry must have been recorded no later
than midnight BST on Friday 19th October 2012. Any team entered after the above deadline on
Friday 19th October will score points from the kick-off of the first eligible match on the next match
day.
Player list and prices are taken from the Official Premier League Fantasy Football page, and will
change in accordance with their changes.
Judges decision on points, player prices, and deadlines is final.
You may change the captain of your team once a week.
Any team changes must be submitted by email by midnight on Friday of the game week, else they
will not take effect until the following game week.
The postponed game between Sunderland and Reading from week 2 will not be included for points
in the game week in which it falls.
Your team and its points will be sent out weekly to everyone in the competition. If you do not want
this to be the case please email and request a private email, your team name and total points will
still appear on the league table.
