The Mandala Project

Once you have completed the HW charts, you
will have 1 class period to brainstorm in small
groups on how to visually illustrate your
descriptions.
You may begin your practice idea map in class,
to be completed for HW. This is just a sketch, as
you will get a large mandala to complete the
final mandala.
Requirements: Your mandala must:
– Tell the story of who you are
– Incorporate symbols, symbolic color,
images and scenes
– Use all spaces provided
– Be cut out as a circle
– Demonstrate a clear understanding of the
8-Fold Path
– Demonstrate care and craftsmanship
You will be given 1 class period in Social Studies
to work on your big mandala. However, you
continue to work on the mandala at home.
