Home Teams Future Leaders: A sportscotland Leadership Development Programme Welcome to your home team for the Future Leaders Programme, the role of home teams is to help you reflect on learning, raise issues and concerns, discuss hot topics, provide support and encouragement and to play a key role in the evaluation of the programme. A team competition will run throughout the year – there will be prizes! Purpose of home team session today is to: Learn more about each other Reflections of the programme so far Set up evaluation of activities. Reflect on the learning so far To reflect on the learning from the day use the following exercise. Go round the group and one at a time to give: One word for what today has meant to you Then repeat process with: One bullet point thing you are going to do as a result of today Set up task of evaluating the activities Each home team will do a different technique during the programme. Session 1 June 2015 – written feedback Home team 1 will agree some key evaluation questions about the day and collect feedback on post it notes from everyone Session 2 September 2015 – quantitative feedback Home team 2 will develop a quantitative process for evaluating the activities Session 3 December 2015 – group discussion Home team 3 will plan and facilitate discussion in small groups and provide summary feedback Session 4 March 2016 – individual video Home team 4 will develop some simple questions and use video recorders to interview 50% of the participants during this session Session 4 June 2016 Home teams 1 and 2 will develop an innovative and creative way of evaluating the session Session 5 September 2016 Home teams 3 and 4 will develop an innovative and creative way of evaluating the session Remind the home team about homework Explain that for homework we are asking you to work with a buddy from your Home Team to take one of your strengths that you have identified and determine a SMART goal for this.
