Dear Riverbend Christian School Parents:
January 4, 2017
Registration for the 2017-2018 school year for currently enrolled children and their siblings will be held on Tuesday,
January 31 in Fellowship Hall. Please make plans to register on January 31 to ensure that your child has a place in our
program for the 2017-2018 school year. If you cannot attend, please contact us at [email protected] for options.
Please be aware that each child in the program is guaranteed a place for next year provided that they are currently enrolled
and attending in one of our Mother’s Day Out or Preschool classes. However, we cannot guarantee that you will receive the
combination of days that you desire (i.e., Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday) OR the combination of days
that your child is currently enrolled. Please note: Siblings and new families will be registered immediately following the
current enrollee registration on January 31, so guarantee of placement only applies if you register that day. If you register
later than January 31, we cannot guarantee there will still be space.
Registration is first come, first serve. We realize this is not a perfect system and relies on the honor
system. You can help make this a smoother process by adhering to the following guidelines: You must
physically be present to sign in to register. You may NOT save places in line and once you have signed
in you are not permitted to leave the campus as that will jeopardize your child’s placement. When we
begin registration at 9:00, we will follow the order of the sign-in sheet until all currently enrolled
children have been registered. We expect to help all parents register by 11:00 a.m.
Siblings’ registration forms will be collected and preference days recorded at registration. Siblings will be placed in
classrooms after current enrollees. After all current enrollees have registered and siblings have been placed, we will call all
parents of siblings to let them know their enrollment status.
Please refer to the back side for information about classes offered and tuition. Attached is a current family registration form.
Please fill one out for each child to be enrolled. Please have forms and payments ready when it is your turn at registration.
This will help registration run smoothly and quickly. Extra forms are available at the office.
The 2017-2018 school year registration/supply fee is $175 per child. This fee is due at the time of registration. You may
write one check for multiple children. Registration fees are refundable ONLY if placement of a sibling is not possible. Please
make checks payable to Riverbend Christian School or RBCS. No credit cards will be accepted. If you have an auto-payment
account set up for tuition and you would like to continue your auto-pay for next school year, submit an updated
authorization form (also attached). You can use this form to pay your registration fee as well.
The children will be grouped by age as of September 1, 2017. Placement of the children in their classrooms will be up to the
administration. We DO NOT accept teacher requests so please DO NOT write requests on your registration form. If you want
your child to be placed with another child in the same classroom, please write that information at the TOP of your registration
form. We cannot guarantee that the children will be grouped together but we will try to accommodate friend requests.
Parent volunteer chairmen and parents registering a child who could go to kindergarten but are returning for our Kinder
Bridge class may turn their registration forms in to the school office by Friday, January 27 for early registration. All other
registration forms should be brought to registration on January 31.
We are currently collecting applications from new families interested in joining our program for fall 2017. New families should
contact the school office or visit www.rbcschool.com/register to download the Wait List Policy & Application.

Enrollment Fees & Tuition:
 $175 Non-refundable Registration/Supply Fee per child
per school year due at registration.
 May Tuition Deposit. The May Deposit is equal to one

month’s tuition. RBCS requires a 30-day written notice
of withdrawal and this deposit will be applied to tuition
to satisfy the 30-day period. If your child completes the
school year, the deposit will simply be applied to the
child’s May 2018 tuition.
Monthly Tuition due on the first of each month,
September through April. May 2018 is prepaid as the
May Tuition Deposit and should be paid at enrollment or
in May 2017, whichever comes later.

Additional Information about Classes & Registration






*At registration, children under the age of 18 months will be enrolled together in one group. In August as we are preparing for the
school year to start, we will divide these groups into two classrooms. As a result, birth dates may vary from the guidelines above.
Whenever possible, we will keep birth dates within a 6-month range.
The 6-11 month and 12-17 month classes will nap during the school day.
Classes offered for Mother’s Day Out and 2 year olds are MWF or TTh. We will also allow children to be enrolled in both MWF and TTh at
the M-F tuition rate. If choosing both schedules, your child will be placed in the same classroom with the same teacher all 5 days.
All children who register for the 3 year old M-Th and M-F classes (or any class downstairs) MUST be FULLY potty trained. To be
considered fully potty trained, the child should be able to independently use the bathroom facilities, including verbalizing their need to
use the facilities, wiping and pulling clothing up and down without help from an adult. Please practice these skills with your child.
Pre-K classes are for children who are 4 years by September 1, 2017. Schedules offered are MWF, M-Th and M-F.
Our Kinder Bridge classes have been specifically designed for children who are eligible for kindergarten but are being gifted with another
year of preparation. 5 year olds will be permitted to pre-register by Friday, January 27. Children who do not meet the age requirement
may be considered if through an assessment it is determined to be developmentally appropriate for the child.
Next week schedule preference sheets will be placed outside each classroom. Please take a moment to indicate
which class schedule is your first choice for your child. These preference sheets have NO IMPACT on the actual
registration. They are used as a tool to determine which classes will be most popular at the registration.
Camp Riverbend
We will once again offer our 6-week Camp Riverbend program this summer. Classes will run June 20 through July 27 on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registration for Camp Riverbend for currently enrolled
families will be ALL WEEK during the week of February 27-March 3. Look for additional information soon.
