What do we do and how do children learn ?
The curriculum, based on the best experiences in preschool development and the best
educational heritage from Socrates to Montessori incorporates activities that build
confidence, encourage curiosity, promote independent learning, and develop language,
problem-solving and social skills.
Dragonello focuses its attention on creative and physical development of children through
'playful learning' being the methodology of our Center for early learning and pre-school
education. We, at Dragonello, offer both structured learning as well as open play in the
Montessori-inspired environment.
The pedagogical value of play: What do children learn?
Play nourishes every aspect of children’s development physical, social, emotional,
intellectual, and creative. The learning in play is integrated, powerful, and largely invisible
to the untrained eye. Much of this learning happens without direct teaching. It is learning
that is important to the learner. Play has an intrinsic value in childhood and long-term
developmental benefits.
The relationship between play and learning is complex, reciprocal, and multidimensional.
The processes of play and learning stimulate one another in early childhood – there
are dimensions of learning in play and dimensions of play in learning. Play and learning
are “inseparable dimensions in preschool practice. ”
BABIES AND TODDLER COURSES (3-36 months)
We are all about bonding and having fun !
Go baby, go !
Age : 4 months -12 months
The greatest gifts we can give a child are a sense of physical and emotional well-being, a
sense of comfort and bonding, the joy of being, curiosity, confidence, the ability to relate to
others, and organization and problem solving skills. When babies move, they learn.
Through developmental movement, that learning is both valuable and fun.
The first year of life is crucial in the development of the child. The goal in movement
education with infants is to help establish the underpinnings of strength, agility, and
adaptability. This class supports the natural patterns of development by exercising its
basic elements: flexing, extending, pushing, pulling reaching, etc. Using breath work,
tummy time, rolling, reaching for toys and people, pushing up, sitting up and down on his
or her own, and belly crawling, Go baby go classes provide nourishing play supporting
bonding, early cognition, emotional regulation, and coordination.
Course runs in English and German.
Requirements: all classes for children 4 months – 12 months are with a parent/caretaker.
Run baby, run!
Age :14 months – 24 months
Movement FUN-damentals
The foundation of growth, development, and learning in a child starts with sensory and
motor interaction with the world. The brain is built from the bottom up and this starts with
movement and sensory exploration. Gross motor abilities have an influence on everyday
functions. Building blocks necessary to develop gross motor skills include: muscular
strength, muscular endurance, motor learning, sensory processing, balance, coordination,
muscle tone. Lots of fun and thrilling experiences to be found in this program. The
children's motor skills will be stimulated and challenged through sensory motor training
and exercises. They will sway, rock, clap, crawl, and climb, play ball games, use parachute
and hula hoops, mountain tops and carousels, they will cross rivers and share the on-thego feeling. Hilarious!
Course runs in English and German.
Requirements: all classes for children 14 months – 24 months are with a parent/caretaker.
Rock it, baby ! (Music course)
Age : 8 months- 18 months
Developing your baby's natural musicality will open the door to a world of possibility, not
only for music learning but for all learning. The early months are so important to this
process, which is why we designed this special class to help you every step of the way.
Our baby music classes offer a sensory-rich yet caring and gentle environment. The
activities and relationships you engage in there will develop and strengthen your baby’s
neural pathways, enhance your growing parent-child bond, and help you understand the
how’s and why’s of your baby’s development.
In class, babies and infants explore and react to new sounds, sensations, and
environments. They begin to use developmentally appropriate instruments like shakers,
rattles, drums, and tambourines in instrument-play activities that engage and develop both
hemispheres of the brain. They benefit from both side-by-side play with other babies, and
cuddling and rocking time with you. In baby class you’ll get to babble, hum, and dance
together–all key ingredients in your baby’s development of early social skills.
Older babies will start to develop both gross- and-fine motor skills through fingerplays and
movement activities. They will discover more about how their bodies work and move as
they become new walkers.
It’s never too early to give your baby a musical start. Come join the fun and experience the
delight of watching your baby learn and grow in a friendly atmosphere!

Language courses
Children who learn two or more languages do better academically, possess greater
problem solving skills, and perform better academically than children with just one
language. And because a child’s brain is capable of storing different languages in different
areas, something that an adult brain is incapable of, learning them is easy and fun!
Through simple rhymes, stories, songs, and rhythmical activities already familiar to you
and your child, they will easily become familiar with typical daily words and phrases.
