2016/2017 Team Overview
Elkhorn United Select Teams
Team Offers:
Official offers will be made by phone and/or email starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 1st.
Team Meeting: Each team will have a team meeting to discuss the expectations of the
upcoming year at Firebarn Sports Bar & Grill, 2523 River Road Drive, Waterloo. Most of these
meetings will be scheduled during the week of Wednesday, July 6 - Sunday, July 10. Coaches will
provide day/time of meeting once offers are made on July 1. Please bring signed Player & Parent
Commitment Agreement to the meeting.
Team Camp:
11U-19U Teams: Monday, July 25-Thursday, July 28, 6:00 PM-8:00 PM.
Team camps will take place at JPM and Ta-Ha-Zouka Park.
Training Expectations:
Fall Season (August-October) Two to three practices per week.
Winter Season (October-February) One-two practices per week, plus Futsal or Indoor session.
Spring Season (March-May) Two to three practices per week.
League Play:
Fall 2016, Nebraska League or Midwest Regional League
Winter, Futsal/Indoor League.
Spring 2017, Nebraska League (2006-2003 Birth Years and 2002 8th Graders only)
Tournaments: Team tournaments will be discussed at team meetings. Typically, each team
travels at least once per season, some teams will travel up to three times. Typical tournament
destinations are Kansas City, Des Moines. Teams will also participate in local tournaments.
Uniform: Uniforms will remain the same as last year. If your child needs to replace items,
these will be available for purchase at team meetings. New players must purchase the full kit at
$139.00 plus tax.
Payment Process: A player’s registration fee will be collected by the club. During online
registration, the fee may be paid in full or set up to be paid in smaller payments. Payment plans
will include a finance charge. Online registration will open at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 1st.
Cost: All Team costs are shared to encourage 100% attendance. You will be responsible for the
cost of an item (tournament, indoor league, etc.) regardless of whether your child can attend or
not. If there is money left over at the end of the year, it will be divided evenly among the families.
