Spooky Snacks for Halloween
 The Mentors helped with organizing and
preparing for the 8th grade Career Day
The students were able to network with the guest
speakers during the Career Day luncheon…that was
catered by El Guapo’s Mexican restaurant!

The Mentors also brought food and drinks for the guest
speakers, and helped set up and clean up throughout the
day.
•
Each student was assigned to a guest
speaker to be their McMath guide.
Made and handed out certificates thank you gifts and cards
for the guest speakers.
We raised $250 and donated it to “Friends of the
Family” to help them with the holiday season!
The McMath Mentors decided to join together to start a
kid run not for profit company called Team Jump Start.

Team Jump Start raises money for scholarships for high
school seniors, and raises money to help jump start
students’ futures!

Team Jump Start was the first student group to ever
raise a scholarship for the Denton ISD Scholarship
Foundation.

They raised over $2500 for the scholarship in one
week!

They were also the first students to attend the
Groundhog Day Gala help this year on February 4th at
the UNT Gateway Center.

