InsiMonday Mobo Move Updates provide information on the move to our
new center in the Galleria as well as other news about our Sangha.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: The sound of drills and hammers echo from the
Galleria’s second floor as construction progresses in our new center. The ISC
Move Team projects a tentative move-in date by the end of February. The
team will put out a call for volunteers to help when the actual completion
date is set. Below is a current picture of part of the new center.
CALL FOR 2017 SUPPORT PLEDGES FOR THE ANNUAL FUND FROM
ISC TREASURER, MAGGIE COLLINS: I am excited we are finally
approaching our move date. This dream of the past year will actually
materialize in early 2017. Soon we will be able to offer more programs
without having to hunt for a location for events like sutta study, focused
sitting groups, or come-and-go retreats. However, the new, larger space
in the Galleria will cost us more money in rent. And our other operation
costs will not disappear. And our teachers are worthy of our support. So
I am asking you if you can tell me how much you can pledge to donate
during 2017. Knowing what we can expect in financial support will help
us manage our budget prudently.
It is easy to pledge and then to donate either a lump sum or begin a
monthly donation for 2017. To PLEDGE, click on the link here to Survey
Monkey and record your pledge there. OR, fill out a pledge form from the
rack between the dana baskets and drop the form in either basket. If
you want to set up an ongoing donation, after you have made your pledge,
click here to go to the Donations page on the ISC website and follow the
directions for credit card, check, or cash donation.
And if you wish to make a one-time tax-deductible contribution to Insight
Santa Cruz for use in the 2017 year, but do it in 2016, now is the time.
Please follow the directions on the ISC webpage AND let me know via the
pledge process that you have made a gift for 2017 support in December
of 2016. Even if you are planning to continue your 2016 pledge into 2017,
we really need you to communicate your plans via the pledge form or the

The Move Team invites you to test out a chair being considered for
purchase for the new center’s classroom (the chairs we have now will be
used in the main meditation hall). A sample chair is currently at Mobo
