INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETURN OF X1 HANDS‐FREE SMART BOARD SELF‐BALANCING SCOOTER Dear Swagway X1 User: Thank you for participating in the Swagway voluntary recall of your X1 Smart Board Self‐Balancing Scooter. Because these recalled units contain lithium ion batteries, you must follow these special procedures for your return of your X1: 1. Remove and set aside the top piece of foam, enclosed lithium ion caution label, empty UPS shipping label pouch, and the re‐sealable plastic pouch. Do not remove the document from inside this pouch. 2. Place your X1 in the provided plastic bag. Then set your unit wheels down, with footpads facing up, into the remaining foam packaging inside the inner box. Then replace the top piece of foam. 3. If you removed the inner box to open your kit, place the inner box back into the brown, outer packaging. At this point your package should look similar to the picture below: 4. Swagway support has emailed you a shipping label and Return Authorization label. Please find this email, and print both of the attached files. See example of these documents below: 5. Place the return authorization label on top of the inner box, then close the brown, outside box and seal with packing tape. 6. Fold the UPS shipping label in half and insert into the provided UPS shipping pouch, barcode facing out. Attach the return shipping label, the lithium ion caution label, and the re‐sealable plastic pouch to the outer carton exactly as shown. THE RETURN SHIPPING LABEL AND LITHIUM ION CAUTION LABEL MUST BE ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE BOX AS REQUIRED BY FEDERAL SHIPPING REGULATIONS!!!! ALL LABELLING MUST BE ATTACHED AS PICTURED TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL SHIPPING REGULATIONS!!! 7. Take the package to your local UPS store or UPS customer center for return shipment to Swagway.
