– VEA & MRCA rely on the Statement of Principles
(SoPs) to link a diagnosis to service
• SoPs set out factors that are medically recognised
in the causation of a condition.
– SRCA rely on medical opinion based on the balance
of probabilities as opposed to possibilities to link the
diagnosis to service
