RE: ACCOMMODATION Applications for Cambridge International College
Students
Cambridge International College (CIC) is pleased to announce that we are moving our
Homestay and Airport Pickup Program to the Government commended Australian
Homestay Network (AHN). CIC Adelaide, Perth, and Melbourne Cambridge
International College homestay applications will now be directly managed through the
Australian Homestay Network effective from 4 March 2013.
AHN is acknowledged as Australia’s largest and leading national network of Homestay
Managers and has established the necessary systems and procedures to assist you to
ensure your students have a successful introduction to living in Australia.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
New Agents have the opportunity to sign AHN’s tailored agreement, which includes a
commission on each student placement fee. Your agency will also be provided with a
unique AHN log in giving you access to lodge and monitor applications 24/7.
Agents can also claim AHN commission on students who apply and pay for their
homestay accommodation directly- just ask us how! To request a copy of our Agent

Agents already working with AHN will now be able to use their existing AHN account
login to apply for homestay for CIC students. Don’t worry if you have forgotten your

Benefits & Features
The Australian Homestay Network (AHN) has introduced new standards in the
provision of homestay services and is the perfect introduction to Australia and the
local area in which the student will be studying.
Cambridge International College students will be covered by AHN insurances

hour a day, 7 day per week critical incident phone line 1300 MY STAY .
Students are placed with hosts who have been trained, interviewed and background
checked by AHN to assess their suitability. AHN hosts provide a clean and furnished
bedroom for their guest. This includes items like a bed, desk, wardrobe, chair and a
study lamp.

The visiting student will have access to bathroom and laundry facilities as well as meal
services and students can choose a range of AHN options if they wish to extend their
original homestay placement.
AHN Hosted Students are provided support with:

Orientation to the local community
The basics of Australian culture
Taking part in everyday conversation
Learning basics such as buying transport tickets, where the local shops are, how
to access banking, internet, mobile phone and personal safety tips
Help with English and 'Aussie' words and phrases
Safety and accommodation options in Australia
Ongoing support and backup from the Australian Homestay Network (AHN)
