How to Use the Quiz Show PowerPoint Template
This template will allow you to set up a quiz show type game that includes five categories containing five questions
each. It is already set up with navigation links. All you have to do is insert the categories, questions and answers and you are good to go.
Overview of the Template
Main Game Board Slide
The main game board slide contains five color-coded columns, each consisting of a category title and five levels of point values.
You can input your own categories by typing
them into each category title box.
Each point value contains a link
to its corresponding question slide.
While playing the game, click on the
point value to advance to the slide.
Each of the point value number links will change
color once you click on them during the game.
Question and Answer Slides
Scroll through the thumbnail pane on the left side of the screen to familiarize yourself with the layout of the game question
and answer slides. Each category consists of five question/answer sets (ten slides) that are color-coded to correspond with its
related category on the main game board.
Use this diagram as a guide to the category colors and their
corresponding question and answer slide colors.
As a guide to input the questions and answers, each of these
slides contains the category number and the point value
of its corresponding square on the main game board.

Question and Answer Slides
Enter the question and answer text on the corresponding slides (Be sure to overwrite the placeholder text)
Example: Category 1 (George Washington) question and answer for 10 points

Go to the question slide for Category 1/10 point (in the
template, this is slide #3) and type the question in the
textbox labeled “Category 1 question for 10 Points”

Click on the next slide – the answer slide – and type the
answer in the textbox labeled “Category 1 answer for
10 points” (be sure to overwrite this placeholder text)

Replace the title text at the top of each slide
(e.g. “Category 1”) with that slide’s corresponding
category title (e.g. “George Washington”).

Navigating the Game
1 Under the desired category
title on the main game slide,
click on the point value to
advance to the slide.
2 Once the question has been
answered, click the right-pointing
arrow at the bottom screen to
advance to the answer slide.
Return to main game board
3 From the answer slide, you
can return to the main game
board slide by clicking on the
left-pointing arrow.
4 If you need to return to the
question slide, use the computer’s
page-up key. Like the answer
slide, the question slide has a
navigational arrow back to the
main game board.
