We hereby have the honour of inviting Petanque teams from your federation/delegation/club to participate in the
“Lanzarote – Emilio Hernández” International Petanque Open organised by the Lanzarote Boules and Petanque
Federation on 29th-30th September 2012, approved by the Spanish Petanque Association under Nº 39 de 2012.

CATEGORIES: Three-person teams; Men, Women and Youth
PLAYING SYSTEM: Swiss or League system depending on registrations; the Semi-finals are knock-out games; in
the youth category, the system may vary depending on numbers and will only be played on Sunday 30/09/12
PRIZES: Trophies and Gifts for the top three.
REGISTRATION DEADLINES: With accommodation: 3rd September; Without accommodation: 24th September.
PLAYING AREA: Canchas Municipales de Arrecife, Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain.
UNIFORM: Sports clothing and shoes.
PLAYING TIMES: Saturday 29/09/12 at 3.30pm and Sunday 30/09/12 at 9.30am

by e-mail, fax or phone by indicating the details of the federation mentioned below. All the information you will need
about the Open can be found on our website or by calling us.
Accommodation will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis. Accommodation and meals will be from dinner
on Friday 28/09/12 to breakfast on Monday 01/10/12. Please contact us before registering to check if there are
accommodation places available. If, due to flight times, you require different accommodation dates, please don't
hesitate to contact us. Lanzarote has direct connections to many destinations in Spain and Europe; the brochure gives
details of the airports in your area and the companies operating these flights; many of them are low-cost.
