Description
Creative Strategies Group is seeking a part-time Event Team Leader for the period of June 11
2012 - September 30, 2012. The Event Team Leader is responsible for leading and managing
an event team of brand ambassadors promoting the Denver Zoo’s new Toyota Elephant
Passage while gathering audience data through a creative activation program.
The Event Team Leader will report to and work directly with Creative Strategies Group’s
Account Services Department and will report to the Account Services Manager and Marketing &
Promotions Coordinator.
Position
The Event Team Leader will be responsible for the successful management and implementation
of a grassroots marketing activation and data collection campaign on behalf of the Denver Zoo
through Cactus Marketing.
Specific Duties include:
Pre-Event
 Master Schedule coordination
 Act as a liaison with selected events to organize onsite set-up, activation plans and
teardown
 Recruit, train, schedule and manage event team pool of 6-8 people
 Manage recordkeeping for the activation including schedule development, hours
distribution for staff as well as time tracking and compensation
During Event




Supervise event set-up and teardown
Onsite management of event team of 3-4 people during event hours
Provide proactive approach to troubleshooting on and off event sites
Establish and maintain positive relationship with event management

Post Event
 Prepare post event evaluations to be presented to both Creative Strategies Group and
Client
This is a seasonal part-time position that will average 15-20 hours per week from approximately
June 11 to September 30 for a total of 300 hours).
The Team Leader is expected to attend all events to manage the team. Most events will be
either weekday evenings or daylong on weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
College Degree
Management experience
Event organization experience
Required Qualifications:
Professional, positive, friendly demeanor
Strong interpersonal and excellent communications skills
Highly organized, time management skills and attention to details very important
Ability to work independently and as a proactive team player
Experience and comfort working with computers and databases (Windows; Microsoft
office)
Familiar and comfortable with Social Media
Valid Driver’s License without major violations
Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
Willingness to work nights and weekends for events
