Representatives of the Mid-East League and Council Grove Schools have engaged in conversations
regarding your possible membership in this league. We discussed the ability to fill schedules, subvarsity competitions, competitive level, strength of academic programs, and your community’s
overall support for it’s school as just some of the factors that makes Council Grove a good fit for
the Mid-East League.
Through our conversations, as well as the many opportunities our schools have had to compete
with each other, it is the consensus of our representatives that the Council Grove Schools will add
to the long-standing level of excellence that is expected by the members of this league. We believe
this opportunity will have a positive impact on all our communities.
It is my distinct pleasure to extend an official invitation to the Council Grove school district for
membership into the Mid-East League commencing with the 2016 – 2017 school year.
Representatives of your district are respectfully requested to consider this formal invitation and
complete the attached document on or before June 1, 2015. Returning this document will serve as
your official acceptance of this invitation and the beginning of a more competitive and sustainable
Mid-East League.
We sincerely hope your district will strongly consider this invitation and begin a membership in
the Mid-East League.
Sincerely,
Brad Womack, Mid-East League President, Silver Lake
