SCHEDULE B: Women’s Head Coach Job Description
PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Women’s Head Coach coordinates the coaching and management of the women’s
playing group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversee the Women’s cricket program at PACC, respecting the Club’s principles and
philosophies.
2. Develop the cricket coaching program and coaching structure and clearly defined
objectives for women’s cricket at PACC in a timely manner for endorsement/approval by
the Management Committee. All appointed assistant coaches must be contractually
engaged with the Club prior to engagement with any players, unless otherwise
negotiated with the Management Committee.
3. Implement the coaching program and coordinate the involvement of any other assistant
coaches, including Junior Women’s Coach(s) in the delivery of the program.
4. A key focus
a. having a professional talent and skill development program that builds and
prepares a pool of talented and high performing players to progress to State
and National cricket levels
b. on building the women’s cricket footprint at PACC and increasing numbers
c. having a sound junior recruitment and involvement program
5. Coordinate all training sessions directed at improving skills of every player and supports
overall team development, and attend matches, prioritising attendance at A Grade
matches
6. Work within the financial budget for the Women’s Cricket program in conjunction with the
PACC Women’s Sub-Committee
7. Coordinate and oversee the recruitment of players and coaches in partnership with the
Women’s and Junior Women’s Coordinators
8. In conjunction with the Secretary and if required, the Women’s Coordinator, negotiate all
women’s player clearances and player registrations in accordance with the rules of the
competition.
9. Ensure all equipment is available as required and that it is in good working order.
10. Ensure all assistant coaches are in attendance (including where appropriate at matches)
and are provided with appropriate equipment and direction to undertake their role.
11. Provide a monthly written report on the Women’s cricket program to the Management
Committee.
RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Cricket Director and Management Committee
Liaises with the Women’s Coordinator and Women’s Sub-Committee
Supports the assistant coaches
Keep Secretary informed of ongoing matters
ACCOUNTABILITY
The Women’s Head Coach is accountable to the Cricket Director and the Management
Committee.
The Women’s Head Coach shall participate in reviews of the role and outcomes as
contractually required.
The Women’s Head Coach shall provide a monthly written report to the Management
Committee.
