Representative Trials Update – 21-10-2014

Jim Beitzel Shield - NWMCA U16 Side: Mon 5th Jan – Fri 16th Jan (12 Player Squad)
Keith Mackay Shield - NWMCA U16 Side: Mon 5th Jan – Fri 16th Jan (12 Player Squad)
Well done to all players and parents who attended the two trial sessions over the last two weeks.
Bottom Age/U15 Players:
The following U15 players have been selected to progress to the next phase of the trials for selection in
the Wizards Dowling Shield side.
Ravindu Fernando, Conor McGuire, Ethan McShanag & Patrick Willach
We recommend you keep in contact with any hatch sides you are trying out for and advise them you have
progressed to the next phase for the U16 Wizards. These players will be advised after their second trail
game if they are likely to make the Wizards side. Should you not make the wizards side, we recommend
you play in the Hatch carnival.
All other U15 players have been released to concentrate on Hatch cricket. Well done to those who
attended the net sessions, as invites to U15 players for this seasons trials was limited (7). We look
forward to seeing you for next seasons Wizards trials.
Phase 1 Trials Ongoing
A number of additional players are currently attending Monday net trials. A selected group of players from
these trials will be included from game 3 onwards.
Phase 2 – Trial Games
After two net sessions, trial sides have been picked. Trial games will be held over the next four weeks,
with all players to play in two games. Please note which two games you are playing in. Players are only
required to turn up on the day they are playing. Venue will be advised on the Wednesday prior to the
game.
Formats of games to be discussed on the day. Players to wear white/cream pants, club playing top
(coloured top preferred), Club hat (no hat-no play). The host venue will have a canteen open, and players
are encouraged to buy drinks from the venue to support the club volunteering their facilities.
Bring both spikes and runners as Matches are on Turf wickets, but may be relocated to hard wickets.
