The SWNFL competition is for all ages over 13 years and is aimed at girls
looking for a higher level competition just below the State League.
This competition is in addition to other competitions that girls have the
opportunity to play in. Players have the opportunity to play for their normal
LNA competition, Representative Teams as well as the SWNFL and the State
League Team Souwest Jets. This is a great place to learn extra skills ready for
those Souwest Jets tryouts.
This competition has an 18s and Under team, a Reserves team and an Open
team which is similar in structure to the 3 grades of football being Colts,
Reserves & League. Games are played on the weekend in line with the local
HBL Football Club.
Girls can be eligible to trial for the 18s & under team any time from age 13
upwards bearing in mind it is a very strong competition and girls can be 18 in
the sides that you are playing with and against, thus physical strength as well
as ability is important for this competition.
HBL has been successful in many of the Premierships over past years and have
had some great athletes at progress further. Girls/Women in these teams are
often attached to the State League Team - Souwest Jets. This is a very strong
competitive level of Netball that takes a lot of commitment and determination
to be part of the team. Its considered to be a much more serious level of sport.
So if you want to see some of the best netball available for your daughters in
the future come along and support your local teams.

details and fixtures. The first games start in April and be assured when the
footballers are playing you can be pretty sure there is a netball game not too
