Prizes that are $599 or less can be claimed at any Lottery Retailer
location.
Prizes of $600 and more must be claimed in person or by mail at Lottery
Headquarters.

Winner Claim Form

To claim a prize by mail, the winner must complete and sign the back of
the winning ticket and complete a Winner Claim Form and mail the
winning ticket and form to:

P O Box 6073
Helena MT 59604-6073
The Montana Lottery recommends that you mail your claim by certified mail.
Players can also get a Claim Form on the Montana Lottery web site at
http://www.montanalottery.com. If winners have questions about the prize claim
process or would like to request a Claim Form by mail, they can call the Montana
Lottery at 1-406-444-5825.
State and Federal taxes are withheld for most prizes over $5,000. Currently, 25
percent Federal tax is withheld, and 10 percent is withheld for State taxes.

Requirement to Sell & Purchase





Retailers may not sell Lottery tickets to minors. Montana law makes it a
misdemeanor offense to sell Lottery tickets to a person under 18 years of
age.
Persons under the age of 18 may not sell Lottery tickets, and Lottery
retailers cannot require employees to sell Lottery tickets if the sale is
against the employee’s religious or moral beliefs.
Your Lottery terminal contains a birth date reminder message on the Main
Menu screen that shows the date a customer must be born on or before to
be eligible to purchase a ticket. This reminder updates automatically each
day.
Lottery Retailers and their employees can purchase tickets and win prizes,
although retailers may restrict employee purchases by store policy.
Lottery Retailers can have their contracts suspended and/or terminated if
the Lottery determines that retailers have violated these restrictions.
