If you have a something special to celebrate,
do it in style at Fonmon Castle. Whilst we
cannot accommodate stag & hen parties
or birthdays below 30th, we are generally
happy to welcome all types of events from
christenings and landmark birthdays to
re-unions and family days.

Dining & Parties
Fonmon Castle may be 800 years old, but
we know how to throw a great party!
A magnificent setting, coupled with
outstanding service and wonderful food will
ensure your event is a true success.
Dining
Whatever the special occasion, your family
and friends will enjoy castle’s relaxed and
elegant atmosphere.
The dining experience at Fonmon is fully
tailored to your needs: for smaller events
of less than 30 people we cater in house,
sourcing as much as possible from our
own Walled Garden. For larger events
we partner with the Really Fresh Food
Company.
A particularly popular option for smaller
groups is an afternoon tea which can
be coupled with a tour of the Castle, this
can be made extra special with a glass of
champagne or sparkling wine to finish!
For seated lunches and dinners, between 8
and 22 guests can be seated in Lady Anne’s
or the Drawing Room and if you are a
smaller group and want something really
special, we may be able to offer you the Old
Kitchen. For larger events, up to 80 can be
seated at round tables in the Library or more
if you choose buffet style dining and use
several rooms.
We can offer a wealth of dining solutions
and can discuss with you arrangements for
drinks and wine, table linen and service.
Each event receives a personal consultation,
so you get exactly what you want – whatever
you choose.
Drinks & Dancing
Dramatic and imposing, the graceful
proportions of the galleried Hall make it the
perfect space for welcoming your guests for
drinks receptions and maybe dancing on the
parquet floor after a dinner.
From singing waiters to a string quartet we can suggest tried and tested suppliers who
will provide top quality entertainment and
music whatever style of evening you choose.
Marquee
Larger Events
The Library can accommodate up to 80 for
a seated banquet, but for larger celebrations
for up to 200 guests, a marquee can be sited
in front of the Castle and linked directly to
the Hall via the Porch.

supplier Alpine Marquees is now firmly
positioned as a company with a reputation
for reliability and attention to detail.
We can work with you to combine use
of the Castle, gardens and grounds in many
flexible ways and Fonmon regularly hosts:

Things to note
All hire of the Castle and gardens is based
on exclusive use
n The wider grounds may be hired separately
from the Castle and on a non-exclusive basis
n The Castle has complimentary wifi
in certain rooms but not throughout
n
Our walls are 8 feet thick in some places
and despite our best efforts, mobile reception
can be limited
n If Alpine Marquees are used, all arrangements and
agreements must be made directly with them.

Accommodation
Whilst we do not offer accommodation at
the Castle itself, there are a wide range of
options nearby and we have negotiated
preferential rates at the most local to help
any travelling guests.
