Objectives
The objectives for the 2009-10 Awards:



To recognize outstanding service and projects in a District 5280 Interact
Clubs actively participating in club and district sponsored activities.
To recognize the Clubs fully supporting the goals of Rotary International and District
5280.
To have a minimum of one report per Interact Club along with a number of individual
recognitions and project reports.
Award Due Dates
All information is due June 2, 2010, emailed to Marie Fremd. Final reports may be
emailed with attachment to [email protected] or faxed to 323-261-3584.
Award Presentation
The recognition of outstanding individuals, clubs and projects will be at the Annual
District Interact Aloha Brunch, Sunday, June 6, 2010, 10:30 am until 1:00 pm, at the
Hacienda Hotel, 525 S. Sepulveda, El Segundo. The cost is $18.00 per person. The flyer
invitation is available on the Rotary District website under Youth Activities, Interact,
www.rotary5280.org.
Judging Criteria
The Committee will be looking for programs and projects, which are well planned,
providing both service and friendship.
 What were the goals of the project?
 How many Interactors, non-Interactors and Rotarians were involved?
 What was the cost, if any, of the project?
 Can another Interact Club duplicate this project?
Length of Reports
Photos and stories are encouraged and may be attached to individual pages of the report.
Be sure to include the name and telephone number of the person with the most
knowledge of a report. Enter as many projects as completed. It is the goal to have a
minimum of one report from each Interact Club in the district.

Awards will be presented to individuals who have displayed outstanding effort and ability
in advancing the objectives of Rotary International, District 5280 and their Club.

Consideration by written nomination from any Interactor.
Selection need not be made annually.
Consideration based on active participation and dedicated involvement throughout the year.
The Interactor(s), Moderator and Advisor exemplify the Rotary Motto: “Service
Above Self.”
Club Awards
Club of the Year: Most Spirited Award
The club will be evaluated on strength and support in working together, service
commitment, membership growth, social fellowship and district participation.
Community Service Award
Projects will be judged on service provided, numbers of participants, planning and
completion success. More than one project may be selected.
International Service Award
Selection will be measured by involvement in a project with a foreign country, planning,
club involvement and results of project completion. More than one project may be
selected.
