Employer Engagement Resources for Engaging Employers Sarah Freeman and Debbie Martin Mission Statement The Enterprise Adviser Network will: Work alongside school and college careers staff and senior leaders to support the development of young people in East Sussex, to create an informed, enthusiastic and committed future workforce. Through the strategic development and enhancement of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG), promote the importance of attitude and social and communication skills when seeking employment opportunities. Offer schools and their stakeholders insight into the needs of industry. Increase opportunities to access local employers and support in raising awareness of alternative routes in to careers. Outcomes and success: All students in all state funded Secondary schools and colleges will have access to good quality CEIAG provision regardless of their geography. Increased employer engagement and a variety of innovative careers activities within schools will widen horizons for young people, including opportunities for/take up of Apprenticeships and Traineeships. The promotion of local employment opportunities and the breadth of careers available will enhance skills development and ensure economic growth in the county.
