Dear Member,
Your policy for disciplinary hearing insurance through the Association is coming up for renewal on June 1st, 2017. Following the
increasing amount of claims, changes have been made to the policy. In order to keep our collective protection viable, the
deductibles are kept at $2,500.00, $2,000.00 and $1,500.00. The amount by claim has been reduced to 25,000, which is consistent
with the upper claims over the recent years. But the expertise fees coverage has been increased to $10,000
First case: Disciplinary Hearing Insurance only in the amount of $25,000 per claim and $50,000 per policy period. You can choose
your deductible as follows, please choose your option:
Option A: Deductible of 2 500$ at the annual premium of $261.60 tax included
Option B: Deductible of 2 000$ at the annual premium of $294.30 tax included
Option C: Deductible of 1 500$ at the annual premium of $316.10 tax included



This is usually sufficient for most psychologists as you already have the obligatory liability with the Order of Psychologists
(Bernard & Fabien insurance).
Second case: Liability insurance plus Disciplinary hearing insurance
Option A: $1,000,000 per claim with aggregate of $3,000,000 per policy period
Disciplinary Hearing for $50,000 with $90,000 per policy period
Deductible of $750.00
Cost: $414.20 tax included

Option B: $2,000,000 per claim with aggregate of $6,000,000 per policy period
Disciplinary Hearing for $50,000 with $90,000 per policy period
Deductible of $750.00
Cost: $446.90 tax included

In both cases, you have coverages for expert witnesses in the amount of $10,000 and $5,000 for legal advice in relation to the
release of confidential information. The deductible that you have chosen will be applied at each policy period.
In order to renew your policy, you need to send in your payment prior to June 1st, 2017. Payment must be done in one lump sum.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
1- Cheque: Please send in your check in the amount for the options chosen, payable to Théorêt Martel Proudfoot along with this renewal letter for your
chosen option.
2- Credit card payment: You can now pay your policy on our website www.http://theoretmartel.ca/en/pli/payment by credit card but a 3% fee will

**In order to qualify, you need to be a member in good standing with The Association of Psychologist of Quebec.

If you are member retired or are looking to retire in the near future, please call us to discuss the options offered for retired
members. You need to be completely retired to qualify. We charge you 125% of the annual premium + taxes for the first year and
