Games of 1988 held?
The Olympic Games have been described as “the
greatest show on the earth”.They bring togather
thousands of the best athletes from all over the world to
compete against each other.To compete in the Olympic
Games is the dream of every athlete.At the 1988
Olympic Games in Seoul more than 90,000 spectors
watched the Games every day and there was a
worldwide television audience of hundreds of millions.

2-In which country were the
first olympic Games held ?
The Olympic Games take their names from the
Greek city of Olympia,where the Games were
first held more than 2,000 years ago.In the first
Olympic Games there was only one race and the
winner was awarded a wreath of olive
leaves.Although other events were added
later,such as boxing,horse racing,and throwing
the javelin,the most important events in the orginal
Olympic Games were the running race.

3- Who was Baron de Coubertin ?
The modern Olympic Games were found by Baron
de Coubertin.The first modern Olympic Games
were held in Athens,the capital of Greece ,in
1896.Like the orginal Games,they have been held
every four years since then,except in the years
when the world was at war.Although many athletes
earn large sums of money through sport,the spirt of
the Olympic Games is still very strong.As Baron de
Coubertin said,”The important thing in the
Olympic Games is not winning but taking part “
