See registration information below for yoga and boot camp classes. Summer 2017 Class & Instructor Info Registration Information All classes are on a registration-based system. You will have to create a login in order to be able to utilize the system. Most classes are free, with the exception of those with an asterisk. There are a minimum/maximum number of participants for some classes. If no spots are available at the time of registration, you will be placed on a waitlist and receive an email should a spot become available. Should you make a reservation and need to cancel, please cancel your online registration ASAP to give another person the opportunity to reserve the spot. To do so, access the calendar from the link below and edit your information to cancel your registration (Edit Slot, Delete Slot). Classes with fewer than four participants registered 12 - 24-hours prior to class will be cancelled. Classes with three or fewer participants in attendance on a consistent basis are subject to cancellation for the semester. The schedule is subject to change. You may forfeit your spot if you arrive later than 10 minutes into the start of class. Should you not have access to email please contact Jenn Coode at x3885 to schedule your reservation. Winter weather cancellation notice: classes follow the WPS cancellation policy. If there is a delay for WPS, all early am classes will be cancelled. If WPS are closed all classes will be cancelled. Yoga and Boot Camp Registration (classes begin week of June 5): Go to http://www.supersaas.com/schedule/worksitewellness/feebasedclasses http://www.supersaas.co m/schedule/worksitewellness/yoga_zumba to view the calendar and/or register for a session. Create an account or login to an existing account. Click on the class for which you wish to register then click new reservation followed by create reservation. This registration confirms you for the entire session. Payment will be made directly to the instructor on the first day of class. Cost will vary based on length of session and availability of space. There will be a $10 drop-in charge for fee-based classes. General Class Registration: To view the calendar or register for classes go to http://www.supersaas.com/schedule/worksitewellness/General_Group_Exercise_Schedule Create an account or login to an existing account. Select the class for which you wish to register. Click ‘new reservation’ then enter your ‘name’ and ‘number’ followed by ‘create reservation’. You will receive an email confirmation. This registers you for this individual class, not for an entire session. Reservations can be made up to 10-days in advance. Please cancel your reservation ASAP should you not be able to attend the class. Summer 2017 Class & Instructor Info Class Descriptions Boot Camp with Hervé Médard * - fee based class Boot camp is a fun energetic, positive and challenging class. The class includes cardio, plyometric, and strength training. Everyone is given attention to ensure proper form, receive modifications, and be truly challenged. All levels welcome. Bring a mat and water bottle. Circuit Training Get your strength, cardio and functional training in the Loyola Fitness Center. This 30minute workout will keep you moving through the stations to get a full workout in just 30-minutes. All levels welcome. Work to your level of fitness. Crusader Walk Lace up your sneakers and meet at the Hogan clock tower for a community driven walking club. Learn new walking routes available right on campus. All levels welcome! Cycling Experience the challenge of an outdoor bike ride in a group exercise class on stationary bikes that simulates hill climbing, sprints and races. It is a fantastic cardiovascular workout. Water and towels are a must! Slow-Flow Yoga with Lilly* – Wednesdays, fee based class Slow Flow is a Hatha style yoga class that incorporates Iyengar and Ashtanga style practice. In this class, a series of asana (postures) cultivate alignment, strength & flexibility. Some simple breathing exercises, and perhaps a seated meditation, deepens the integration of breath & movement to enhance awareness. Slow-Flow Yoga with Jessica* - Thursdays, fee based class We begin with a brief centering and warm-up, followed by flowing & holding standing postures to stretch & strengthen the body. We finish with some floor work and a brief relaxation to calm and quiet the mind. Appropriate and welcome to beginner yogis & experienced practitioners. *Indicates fee-based class Summer 2017 Class & Instructor Info Instructors Boot Camp Hervé Médard, NASM Certified Personal Trainer and owner of Summit Training Loft in Worcester. His energy is contagious. Herve keeps his classes interesting each week through the variety of exercises he offers – modifications are always offered as well. Boot camp will challenge anyone at any level. Circuit Training and Cycling Jennifer Coode, Wellness Specialist, runs Worksite Wellness at Holy Cross powered by Fallon Health. Jenn is a 200-hr Kripalu yoga teacher and is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. She previously worked at the YMCA of Central Massachusetts and the Worcester JCC. Jenn teaches to all levels by listening to the needs of her class to create classes where everyone can find their edge. Slow Flow Yoga - Wednesdays Lilly Sarmiento Caruso, RYT-200hr, is a certified yoga teacher with over ten years of experience practicing and teaching yoga. Her teaching method has evolved over the years and has been influenced and inspired by studying with many local and internationally known masters. Lilly's classes integrate dynamic vinyasa flow postures (consciously linking breath to movement), with mediation, intention and special attention to precise alignment to create an environment of grace, healing and self-empowerment. Lilly's emphasis in class is to encourage each student to mindfully tap into his/her physical strength and inner voice in order to experience their body and mind open, grounded, and fully at ease in the present moment. Slow Flow Yoga - Thursdays Jessica Johnson, RYT-200 hr, trained by various teachers in different styles, including FRA, Baron Baptiste, Natasha rRzopolous, and Frog Pond Yoga. Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science, advanced training in pre-natal yoga. Jessica is a certified yoga practitioner who has been teaching and sharing yoga with diverse populations since 2003, including the elderly, pregnant women, families, young children, with a variety of styles. She has trained in vinyasa, slow-flow, hatha, restorative, gentle, and iyengar, and has taught within a variety of settings, including yoga studios, comprehensive wellness practices, healthcare organizations, and family-based centers. Jessica adapts classes for clients with ease and believes in yoga being accessible and obtainable for all people, regardless of their initial goals.
