What happens next
The final amendments to the Traffic Management Orders for P1, P2 and P2s CPZ’s, which allow the
changes to be introduced and enforced will be advertised in the London Gazette and a local newspaper
shortly.
I regret that at present I am unable to inform you of the exact date for the implementation of the
changes; however, all premises within the zone will receive further information from the Council advising
of the commencement date and the duration of works.

The purpose of this newsletter is to inform you of the outcome of the formal consultation carried out
in June 2007 for the review of the operation of the existing controlled parking zones (P1, P2 and P2s)
in the Wimbledon Park Area and the decision made by the Cabinet member.
The representations received along with officers’ recommendations were presented to the Street
Management Advisory Committee and the Cabinet Member for Environment and Traffic Management on
the 6th November 2007.
Following this meeting, on the 3rd April 2008 the Cabinet Member agreed to proceed with the making
of the Traffic Management Order’s (TMOs) for the implementation of the following proposed measures
in zone P1, P2 and P2S as detailed on plans Z78-118-05C , Z78-040-03C, and Z78-126-04C respectively.
It was agreed to:

• amend the hours of operation of the Pay & Display bays on Arthur Road to operate between
10:00am and 15:00pm Monday to Friday.
• extend the permit holder bay across the crossover at property No.79 Vineyard Hill Road.
• convert the two existing Pay & Display only bays in Wolseley Avenue to shared use bays.
• convert four of the existing Pay & Display only bays in Ryfold Road on the south side outside
property Nos. 14 to 20 Ryfold Road to shared use bays.
• remove the permit holder bays from outside property No.3 and 13 Dora Road and shorten the
permit holder bays outside No. 57 Vineyard Hill Road to accommodate footway crossovers.

• reduce the four-hour maximum stay Pay & Display only bays in Leopold Road (outside the parade of
shops) to one hour maximum stay only.
Village Ward Members
• include Durnsford Road stub end within zone P1 and to add the shared use bays on the eastern side
of Durnsford Road.
• add, extend or shorten existing parking bays at certain locations and make the necessary minor
amendments in response to specific requests from individual residents during the consultation as
detailed on the plans.
• remove the shared use bays between property Nos. 31 to 37 Arthur Road to improve sightlines and
safety.

1. P1/P2 - Melrose Avenue from the party wall of property Nos. 51/53 to party wall of property
Nos. 45/47 Melrose Avenue.
2. P1/P2s – from the party wall of property Nos. 51/53 and property Nos. 86/88 Vineyard Hill Road
to the junction with Home Park Road Vineyard Hill Road.
3. P1/P2s - Home Park Road from opposite No. 1 Home Park Road to Strathearn Road and from
property Nos. 65/67 to opposite property No. 69 Home Park Road.

• Not proceed with converting the single yellow line restrictions to double yellow line restrictions at
locations such as passing gaps, bends and at junctions.
