You can access Video Note anywhere the Insert Stuff button is within a toolbar.
Example: within a content item inside a module, feedback to a Dropbox, a
discussion post, etc.
Select “Video Note” from the left navigation/selection bar of the “Insert
Stuff” dialogue box.
Select to “Allow” Flash to access your webcam (if
necessary) - it might take a few seconds for it to
engage properly - then you’ll see the image from the
webcam in the window and the “Record” button will
become active.
After the webcam image appears, select the “Record”
button and recording of the video will commence. Up to 3
minutes of recording time is available. When done select
the “Stop” button.
Hit play to look at the video - note that a “Clear” button is
also available to clear the recording and start again from
that stage.
Select “Next” if the video is suitable.

Give the video a title and a description.
Select the “Next” button.
The option to “Preview” appears (select the
play button in the player to view the preview) - use “Refresh Preview” if necessary.
If all is ready to go select the “Insert” button
to insert the video into the HTML document
where the cursor is located.
After the video note has been inserted,
“Publish” the HTML document. Always look
for a “Publish” or “Save & Close” option!
The video will be accessible via the HTML
document located inside the Content
module and will play inside of D2L (or when
the student is viewing Dropbox feedback,
etc.)
