VERBS
A verb tells what the subject of a sentence
is or is doing.
Action Verbs are verbs that show action.
Linking Verbs are verbs that link together
the subject with information about the subject.

Verb Tenses:
• Past (usually end in –ed)
• Present (sometimes adds –s or –es to the verb)
• Future (usually use the helping verb will or shall)
*It’s very important to make sure your subject and verb tenses agree
throughout your writing!
