Poker Room Information Guide-2015-Reduced

FLOP GAMES
Texas Hold’em
The Play: Each player receives two cards as an initial hand. Each player will use
two hole cards along with the five community cards to form the best five-card
poker hand.
Blind & Betting Structure: In order to start the betting action, Hold’em uses blinds
to stimulate action and initiate play. Blinds are posted before the dealer deals the
first cards. Blinds are posted by players who sit in consecutive clockwise from the
dealer button, the first player posting a predetermined amount call the “small
blind.” The next person, posts what is known as the “big blind.” Action is made on
the first round by the player on the immediate left of the big blind.
In Hold’em there are four total rounds of betting, two at the smaller limit and two
at the larger limit. The first round of betting takes place after each player has been
dealt his initial two-card hand. The second betting round takes place after the flop
has been dealt. The third round of betting takes place after the turn card has been
dealt and fourth/final round of betting will take place after the river card has been
dealt.

STUD GAMES
Seven Card Stud
In the event that we have not answered all of your
questions in this guide, consult a bestbet employee for
additional information. ATM and Cash Advance
machines are available.
The Play: Each player receives two cards face down and one card face up. The
betting round starts with the low up card. The dealer will deliver four more cards
with a betting round in between each, starting with the high hand. The last card is
face down.
The Object: The best five cards out of seven wins.
Seven Card Stud 8/or Better
The Play: This game is played just like regular Seven Card Stud, except the high
hand and the low hand split the pot. To qualify for a low hand, an eight low or
better (lower) is needed. If there is no qualifying low hand, the high hand takes the
entire pot. Aces may be used for high or low and straights and flushes do not
impair the value of a hand for low (Ace-two-three-four-five is the best low).
The Object: A player may use any five of his/her seven cards to make their best
high hand, and any other grouping of five cards, whether the same as their high
hand or not, to make his/her best low hand.

FULL HOUSE
FOUR OF A KIND
Three cards of the same rank, plus two
cards of the same rank.
We play Texas Hold’em, 7 Card Stud, Omaha and much more. You will notice we
provide a CENTRAL DEALER. The dealer does not participate in the play, but delivers
all cards, makes sure who is in the pot, reads hands for winners and awards the pot.
In Flop games, where a dealer has an advantage , we use a flat disk called a DEALER
BUTTON to designate one specific person as last to act and this button moves to the
next player after every hand so every person has an opportunity to share the
advantage.

TABLE STAKES is the rule of all cardrooms, which means you can only play the chips
on the table when the hand begins and all chips on the table must remain until you
leave. If you have insufficient chips to meet all bets, you may play “ALL-IN.” You will
still receive all cards, but can only win the amount you contributed to the pot, plus an
equal amount from each active player. Others may continue to bet until the betting
ends or the betting limit is reached. You will not be able to win any portion of their
additional betting action. This is a side pot available to those players who continue to
bet.
All stud games use a FORCE BET, or “bring-in” as it is sometimes labeled, to start the
betting action. The player with the lowest faceup card must bet on the first round.
Flop games use a BLIND BET to start the action. Blinds are posted by players who sit
in consecutive clockwise order from the dealer button with the first player posting a
predetermined amount called the “small blind.” The next person in order posts what
is known as the “big blind.” Action is initiated on the first betting round by the player
on the immediate left of the big blind. The blinds act last on the first betting round
and are “live,” which means the player is allowed to raise his own blind bet.
ONE PAIR
HIGH CARD
LOWER HANDS
Players will place all bets in front of them rather than into the pot so the dealer can
make certain everyone has paid the correct amount. Cards must be kept on or over
the table in full view of the dealer. Players must PLAY IN TURN. Please wait until the
active player on your immediate right has acted upon his hand before you bet, raise
or fold. This courtesy will ensure that all players receive only the information to which
they are entitled. When it is your turn to act, please be prepared. If you wish to FOLD,
when it is your turn to act, please turn all your cards down and surrender them to the
dealer. If no player has bet, you may CHECK by tapping the table or saying “check.”
This reserves to you all rights to call, raise or fold in the event some one else bets. If
you wish to RAISE, you should either say “raise” before you place any chips out, or
put the total of the bet and raise out at once. A larger denomination chip will be
assumed a call unless you say “raise.” One bet and three raises are permitted in limit
games. Unlimited raises are permitted in no limit and pot limit games.
Please refrain from showing or discussing your hand to other players during the play
of the hand.
