Prof. Cory Shulman has more than thirty years of clinical work with individuals with
autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Her primary appointment is in the graduate program in
Early Childhood Studies, in which she is the head of the infant and early childhood
mental health tract specialization. Her research interests focus on young children with
neurodevelopmental disorders and their families. In particular, she is interested in the
course of development of autism over time, using observational, psychometric and
interview measures of communication, social interaction, play and imitation. Prof.
Shulman is the Director at the newly established Autism Center at the Hebrew
University, a multidisciplinary research and training institute.
