World Cup 2022

In 2022 the World Cup will
be held in November and
December for the first time
in Qatar.
Due to the high temperatures during
the summer the matches are going to
be played in November and
December. This has caused a lot of
questions to be asked as to why Qatar
was chosen to host the World Cup in
the first place.
Temperatures in the summer in Qatar
can reach 40oC. It was thought this
was too high to have people running
about. In November the temperatures
drops to 25oC.
They hope to have the games finished
by the 19th December.
Qatar have never played football in
the World Cup before.
Qatar was going to build 12 new
stadiums for the world cup but this
might not happen.
FIFA
believes
the
change to November
and December should
help players to look after
their health in very hot
temperatures.
