COIN CHALLENGE
Step right up! The carnival is coming to town, and we have “Your Ticket to Read” at the 2016 Scholastic
BOOK FAIR! Last year, our students raised $1105 by bringing in their loose coins for the All for Books Coin
Challenge. The funds raised were used to buy new books for our school and classroom libraries.
We need your help again this year.
THE CHALLENGE: Earn Your Ticket to READ!
Bring your coins to school and drop them into the container in your classroom. The class that brings in the
most change will choose a lunch to be served in the cafeteria during Catholic Schools Week in February –
Chicken Nuggets, Nachos, or Pizza. PLUS, each student that donates to the coin drive will be given a “ticket”
to fill out and return for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to be used at the Book Fair. AND, the winning
classroom teacher will also be awarded a bonus of $25 to be spent on books for their classroom library.
Of course, we’ll also be able to buy LOTS of NEW BOOKS for our school!
YOUR MISSION:
Search under your couch cushions and floor mats, empty your pockets and dig deep into the bottom of your
backpack for loose change to buy new books for our classrooms and school.
Remember each penny raised will go towards new books for our school!
Penny Monday: January 11, 2016  Bring in pennies
Nickel Tuesday: January 12, 2016  Bring in nickels
Dime Wednesday: January 13, 2016  Bring in dimes
Quarter Thursdays: January 14, 2016  Bring in quarters
