U.S. Army All-American Bowl Kickoff: 12 p.m.
The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is the nation’s premier high school football all-star game, featuring the best 90 players in the country in a classic East
vs. West match-up in San Antonio’s Alamodome. It is broadcast live on NBC to a worldwide television audience. Last year’s U.S. Army All-American
Bowl marked the 13th anniversary of the game and drew a record crowd of 40,133.
San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game Kickoff: 5 P.M.
For 35 years, the San Antonio All-Star Football Game has served as a celebration of successful high school careers. In 2014, this event, previously
held in the spring, will move to the Alamodome on January 4 to showcase the area’s top student-athletes and provide greater college scholarship
opportunities. Eighty-four local players from over 50 high schools will participate in the event. The San Antonio All-Star Football Game will be broadcast
on the CW 35 (KMYS).
