From the Director: Another school year has
passed us and summer is in full swing at
Camp Care-A-Lot! If you have not sent a
water bottle (labeled with first and last
name) in with your child please do so. We
can take these outside with us and keep
everyone cool and hydrated. A new school
year is right around the corner and we are
working on our Fall Registration. Please be
sure that you return paperwork and register
for your 2012-2013 space as soon as
possible. Remember we will be closed on
Wednesday, July 4th. Enjoy the Holiday!

Nursery 1: Hooray for July!! We are all
enjoying the summer! We have been
beating the heat splishing and splashing in
the water on the playground. Our theme
this month is Butterfly Wings. We will
explore things that are soft like butterfly
wings and we will make some really cute art
projects too.
Nursery 2: We would like to welcome
Katelynn to our class! We would also like to
wish Austin and Akshaj good times in
Toddler 1. You will be missed. Our theme
for July is Under the Water. We will be
having lots of fun outside with water play
(please be sure your child has the
appropriate clothing for water play, there is
a list in the classroom). We are also going
to be working hard to create a fun under
the sea display to decorate our room. Our
sensory experiences will be very fun this
month…lots of water, sponges, ice and JellO to explore!
Toddler 1: The month of July is full of
wonderful insects. Week one we will be
touched by luck when we learn about
ladybugs. Week two we will soar with
butterflies. Week three we are going to
wiggle around and find out about worms.
We are going to march with the ants and
get caught into a web of learning about
spiders during week four. As if July isn’t
bugging with enough excitement we will
also be splashing around outside and having
all sorts of fun with water play. So get
ready for the kiddo’s to be sharing many
adventures with you during this month of
summer fun!
Toddler 2: The Toddlers go marching one
by one…hoorah! Hoorah! In July we will be
learning about bugs, bugs and more bugs!
We will have our magnifying glasses in hand
as we walk through nature and explore all
the crawling critters and flying insects in our
yard. We will also play fun Bug Games and
create colorful insect art. We will
continue to see the great
outdoors as we begin our
water play and have a blast
running through the sprinkler! We will be

slippin’ and slidin’ real soon! As we get
ready to move up at the end of August we
are learning some Preschool Rules. We are
practicing walking in a straight line, using
our inside voices and being more
independent.
Preschool 1: We went on our very first
fieldtrip to the Aquarium last month and it
was VERY fun! Especially riding the bus!
We are excited summer is here and more
trips are coming our way! During July we
will have “Fun in the Sun”. We will learn all
about the beach, fun and water safety,
camping and parks. We look forward to
celebrating the Fourth of July too! Lots of
art projects, songs, stories and games are
planned for July – but on hot sunny days we
plan to enjoy the sunshine and some water
fun. Please be sure your child has all their
water gear ready to go. We have also
welcomed two new friends
to our room. Sky and Caden –
we hope you are having lots of
fun with us!
Preschool 2: Can you believe
summer is here? This year went by so fast
but we packed a lot of fun into it and will
continue to do so until summer’s end. We
will kick off our summer by celebrating the
Birthday of the USA. We will get a lot fresh
air and exercise during our sports theme
this month. We will enjoy dry and wet
games so be sure to bring your water gear.
Thank you for the wonderful turnout we
had during our Graduation. You should be
very proud of your soon to be
Kindergartener…I know we are! Have a safe
and exciting summer!
Summer Camp: July is an exciting month at
Camp Care-A-Lot! We will have our
Carnival, take a trip to Leaps & Bounces,
learn some skills at Soccer Camp and play at
the Krowe’s Nest. We are spending lots of
time outdoors playing in the water, learning
new playground games and making arts and
crafts. Be sure to check out Care-A-Lot’s
