Dear Hockey parents, players and supporters
We played a number of different schools last week and notched
up 8 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses. This week we host the Bishops derby
and excitement is mounting! The 1st XI match at 19.35 on Friday 10
June (WPCC B) is a compulsory school event. We look forward to
welcoming our families, supporters, old boys, staff, sponsors and
everyone from Bishops. Good luck to all the teams.
As parking for the derby will be challenging, please remember to
display your Bosch Hockey parking discs (still available from Mr
Zeeman) and use the car park or field next to Astro B. We will
reserve the top row of the stand closest to dugout for VIPs - it will be
marked as such, so kindly keep that clear for them. Coffee and
pancakes will be available for sale, and there will be a display by
our 1st team sponsors, Claremont VW.
HOCKEY PREMIER LEAGUE (HPL) - 2016
This annual 5-a-side hockey fundraiser is back by popular demand
and promises to be loads of fun for the boys.

R70 entry free (to cover shirt and printing)
All hockey players invited to participate
Maximum of 150 players accommodated
Teams compiled fairly with players from all age groups
Names drawn ‘blind’ by the committee
Maximum of 8 players per team captained by senior player
Each team may include one ‘foreign’ player.
Boys must sign up outside Mr Bowley’s classroom or email

Deadline for entries: Monday 20 June
Teams will be announced at the end of the term.
SPONSORSHIP REQUIRED
R3000 per team
Each team is responsible for finding a sponsor.
Team sponsors will receive:
 A single-colour logo on their team’s shirt
 The right to advertise at the tournament (banners, flyers etc.)
 An advert in the official printed programme
PRIZES NEEDED
Prizes of any kind are welcomed (and needed!), preferably in
identical sets of 8 to present to each member of teams.
