REI Master Upgrade Procedure
IMPORTANT – The upgrade must be done during business hours Monday to
Friday (excluding public holidays) between 8:30AM and 4:30PM Queensland
time.
This upgrade requires internet access in order to upgrade each computer that REI
Master is installed on.
You must have an REI Master Installation CD.
For most clients the upgrade procedure will be a simple self-service operation,
however, if you would like assistance from an REI Master Consultant with
performing the upgrade please contact our office to make a suitable appointment
time. Upgrade assistance will be charged at $33 per computer upgraded and
must be paid in advance of the upgrade appointment.
BEFORE YOU PERFORM THE UPGRADE:

Ensure you have a current backup of your data on an external disk (CD, USB Stick, Zip Disk etc.).
Ensure that your main ‘Accounts’ area is balanced (i.e. you have obtained a 3-way balance).
Ensure you are doing the upgrade during the following times Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
Queensland Australian time in case you require assistance.
Ensure you are able to perform the upgrade on all computers that are running REI Master (i.e. your network is
up and running or all computers have access to the internet).
Please read the below instructions thoroughly before performing the upgrade.
Make sure REI Master is closed on all computers before performing the upgrade.
Make sure all other programs are closed (including Email Programs, Word Documents etc.).
Make sure you have your REI Master Installation CD (to purchase a replacement REI Master CD with the
latest version on it please contact REI Master Support).
IMPORTANT – REI Master / EzyRez is a Microsoft based company and the below instructions are intended for
clients using Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. For those clients using other internet programs (such as Mozilla Firefox,
etc.) the below steps may differ.
PERFORMING THE UPGRADE:

Do a backup of your data.

Close all programs except REI Master. (i.e.
close your email program, any Word documents
you have open, any internet sites, etc.).
3.
In REI Master, go to ‘‘Help’ and then ‘Check For
Latest Version / Upgrade Software’.

If you are not on the latest version, you will receive the ‘New Version
Available’ message.

Click ‘Yes’.
You will receive a message asking if you wish to backup your data.
5.
You must click ‘Yes’ to continue. (If you click ‘No’, the program will just close).
6.
Perform your backup and then click ‘Close’ on the backup screen.
You will then receive the ‘REI Master Upgrade’ screen and in
brackets it will say the upgrade version number that you are about to
upgrade to.
7.
Click the ‘Update Now’ button.
8.
Wait while the upgrade
downloads.
9.
Click ‘OK’ when told the upgrade has been successfully
completed.
10. Click ‘Finish’ on the ‘REI Master Upgrade’ screen.
REI Master will automatically open again.
11. Wait while REI Master upgrades.
12. Click ‘OK’ to the ‘Database Upgrade Complete’ message.
13. Login.
14. Go to ‘Help’ and ‘About’ and you should now see that you are on a new higher version.
