ForU13Teams:Ateammayonlykeeptheir“earned”MRLspotfromthefallseasoninMSPSPtothe
springseasoninMRLifthatteamhasaminimumof9playersthatappearonboththefallseasonMSPSP
rosterandthespringseasonMRLroster.
ForU14–U19Teams:Ateammayonlykeeptheir“earned”MRLspotfromthepriorseasonalyearifthat
teamhasaminimumof9returningplayers(i.e.thereisatleast9playersincommonbetweentheprior
andcurrentseasonalyearrosters),ortheteamobtainspriorapprovalfromMSYSA.
Inallcases,teamsareresponsibleformeetingallpublishedapplicationandpaymentdeadlines.Failureto
meetapublisheddeadlinemayresultinforfeitureofan“earned”spot.

PremierDivisionTeams
APremierDivisionTeamslotshallbeallottedtotheteam/club/organizationthatowns/controlsthename
totheteamthathadparticipatedintheMRLduringthepreviousseason.Anyquestionsinregardstosuch
ownership/controloftheslotshallbedirectedbytheMRLtotheDirectorofCoachingofthePremier
DivisionteamaslistedontheoriginalMRLteamapplicationfromthepreviousseason.
Insituationswheretheteamcoachand/orplayer(s)maydepartsuchteamandjoinorcreateanother
team,thePremierDivisionslotdoesnotfollowsuchgroup.
Insituationswherethereisamutualdesiretomergeorconsolidateorganizations/clubs/teams,theMRL
atitssolediscretionmayreviewanddeterminetheoutcomeofanyrequestsforthetransferofaPremier
Divisionslotiftheorganization/blub/teamthat“owns”suchslotformallyrequeststhetransferofsuchslot
toapartnerorganization/club/team.Suchtransfermusthavethewrittensupportofbothgroupsandthe
stateassociation(s)*ortheinvolvedgroups.TheMRLatitsdiscretionmayrequestadditionalwritten
informationinregardstothismatterincludingbutnotlimitedtotherationaleforthetransfer,a
guaranteeonthenumberofreturningMRLPremierlevelplayersforthecomingseasonandanyother
matterthattheMRLdeemspertinentinthereviewofthismatter.
