Ask a student you have never played with to join you at recess. Sweep the kitchen floor for your parents. Tell a funny joke and laugh out loud. Secretly leave a sticky note on someone’s desk that says something kind. Make a book mark that has 5 positive things that describe you. Crank up some tunes and dance to your favorite song! Recycle or reuse something. Spend time with a pet. Put together a care package for Children’s Hospital. Make cookies and bring some to your neighbor. Talk to someone about what you need to do when a stranger talks to you. Pick up trash in your neighborhood . Enjoy yourself and have fun today! Do some mindful listening! Stop and close your eyes and see how many different things you can hear! Do some mindful tasting! (Take a snack and close your eyes and use your senses! Feel, smell, taste (hold in your mouth before you chew!)! What do your senses tell you? Share something you learned at school with an adult family member. Be a good listener to someone or in class! Give your favorite flower or the one you grew to someone special! Tell yourself out loud in the mirror, “I’m an amazing person! Today, I am going to do extraordinary (wonderful) things!” Write this down and put it in your room! Place a sticky note on one of the office ladies desk that says how much you appreciate all they do for the school! Tell Mr. Schleich what a great principal he is and you really appreciate all he does for our school! Let him know how excited you get to go to the DU game!! On a sticky note write an inspirational kindness quote that means something to you! Put the note in your room to remind you. Take a Pause Break to recognize how you feel at this present moment (low your gaze or close your eyes, take 3 slow deep breaths, notice your how your body feels, notice your emotions you feel).
