Bulletin Mutual recognition of general construction induction training cards This information bulletin provides a guide to mutual recognition of interstate general construction induction training cards (White Card). A white card that was issued under a corresponding WHS law (and remains valid) will be recognised under Regulation 319 of the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Regulations. The White Cards listed in this bulletin are examples of interstate cards that are valid in the Northern Territory. The examples in this bulletin may not be comprehensive, please contact the interstate authority if you wish to confirm the validity of an interstate card. It is important to note the following: Mutual recognition is of White Cards only and does not extend to mutual recognition by jurisdictions of trainers or the delivery of training A person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) must ensure that task induction and site– specific induction training is undertaken as required under Regulation 39 of the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Laws. Tasmania Tasmanian white cards are recognised by NT WorkSafe. The card must include the following information: Issue date and card number Name, date of birth and signature of the cardholder. Queensland Queensland white cards are recognised by NT WorkSafe. The cards must include the following information: Issue date, card number and RTO number Name, date of birth and signature of the cardholder. Queensland blue cards continue to be valid and recognised in Queensland, therefore these cards are also recognised by NT WorkSafe. The cards must include the following information: Issue date, card number and RTO name/number Name and signature of the cardholder. South Australia South Australian white cards are recognised by NT WorkSafe. The card must include the following information: Issue date and card number Name, date of birth and signature of the cardholder. 2 Mutual recognition of general construction induction training cards (V3.0 – October 2016) Australian Capital Territory ACT white cards are recognised by NT WorkSafe. The cards must include the following information: Issue date, card number and RTO number Name, date of birth and signature of the cardholder. Caption: Sample ACT construction induction card (from 1 January 2012) Caption: Sample ACT construction induction card (1 September 2009 – 31 December 2011) Western Australia Western Australia white cards are recognised by NT WorkSafe. The cards must include the following information: Issue date and card number Name and signature of the cardholder. 3 Mutual recognition of general construction induction training cards (V3.0 – October 2016) Western Australian (CSAT) cards were issued by the WorkSafe Western Australia Commission for Occupational Safety and Health. These cards are also recognised by NT WorkSafe. The cards must include the following information: Issue date and card number Name and signature of the cardholder. Victoria Victorian white cards are recognised by NT WorkSafe. The cards must include the following information: Issue date and card number Name, date of birth and signature of the cardholder. Victorian red cards issued prior to 1 July 2008 are recognised by NT WorkSafe.
