Dear Perspective Donor,
The Annual Murder Mystery Dinner to benefit The SHORE Foundation is scheduled for November 1st 2014 at
Stratigo’s in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. We are requesting your help with our venture by agreeing to be a
Corporate Sponsor for the event. That sponsorship could be given in a few ways; by donating a gift in kind, a door
prize or a silent auction item.
This Dinner is given for those that benefit from the foundation and in loving memory of our 19 year old daughter,
Sarah Lynn Budd who was suddenly taken from us in an auto accident June 24th 2007. Sarah’s life was ended but she
offered life and hope to others by donating her organs. A tragedy that no parent should endure, but thanks to modern
medicine and donor awareness there were 3 people that began a new journey that day. Our loss was devastating but it
was out of our despair that we wanted to celebrate Sarah’s life, so The SHORE Foundation was formed. The
Foundation seeks to continue Sarah’s passion and love for people. We offer organ recipients and their families,
financial help. Over the past year our mission to relieve recipient’s expenses that are not covered by traditional
insurance, Medicare, or Medical Assistance has become a reality. Providing five families’ anti-rejection drugs, they
were no longer able to afford. We were able to provide hundreds of dollars in food gift certificates and have granted
over five thousand dollars to families through the remainder of 2012. The Foundation continues to concentrate on the
following:



Aid Monetarily in housing, food, gas, child care expenses, anti-rejection medications, to name a few, that add
undue stress on a patients recovery.
Working with other organizations to fund these expenses after a need is assessed
Raising educational Donor Awareness
The Murder Mystery Dinner is a fun event that many can attend and help us raise our minimum goal of $15,000
dollars. Last year we exceeded our goal thanks to the generous sponsors. Those monies are allocated to families in
need of additional financial help. The Foundation has been advertised in local newspapers and will be requesting news
coverage at the dinner to help raise awareness for this worthy but overlooked cause.
We have many sponsorship levels that your company can participate in our fund raising efforts. Attached is a
sponsorship form that details the tiers and sponsorship advertising opportunities in one of the areas fastest growing
housing and retail communities.
The SHORE Foundation cordially invites you and your employees to share in our compassion for organ recipients
and those families that have experienced the loss of a child but have given others a second chance. Actively
participating in this event and future events will benefit many.
